BIGDEE is infamous around these parts
Mobil 1 Oil

I am changing my oil in my 99 996.what type of mobil 1 should i use. i have heard ow50 5w30 and many others,even a mix .Can some one please help me

I would use at least a 40W oil. 0w/40, 5w/40 and 5w/5O are fine. Personally, I would use either the 5w/40 or 50 in your climate. I used to run 15w/45 before my supercharger and would do the same now except the blower is lubed by engine oil and I need instant oil flow. After I finish my oiling mod, I will be going back to the heavier oil. 0w is not needed in these engines.

I use Mobil 1 0W/40, my car has 61,000 miles Porsche carrera 4 1999.

0-40 is factory fill. it's the formula for european cars.

M1 5W-40 is my choice, topping up w/15W-50 in summer. I am afraid the 0W-XX will increase the chance for RMS IMO
