oil pressure gauge at idle is between 2-3 and while driving goes up to 5 but not above . this never happened before..oil level is good..no leak..car has 30k miles 2003 c4...ant advise??

 

It's normal , it always does that

 

I was in the same spot as you the day I bought mine-which was my first (and so far, only) I'm on the highway and in a half-panic, called my friend who also has one. He laughed a little and told me my engine was about to blow up. In truth, it's completely normal and part of the million things that contribute to coolness of the car. Enjoy!

 

Try pulling the leads off the oil sending unit and cleaning the connectors.

Mine were corroded and it started reading funky.
