PSS9 on US spec C4S problem?!? (x-post)

My dealer (who is installing PSS9 on my 03 C4S) just called me and told me that they are having difficulties installing it. They called Bikstein in the US, and they told the dealer better not to install the system, as it is not safe for a US spec car. I'm assuming that Bilstein US doesn't like the fact that people import the PSS9 directly, but it did make me worry a bit. Has anybody who has installed the PSS9 (from Carnewal or others) ever had any problems with it that might indicate a safetty problem? What problems do exist when installing a Euro-spec suspension on a US-spec car?

Thanks for your help,

Allart

Allart, try to ask the dealer what is the problem exactly. Believe it or not, many dealers and private shops have tried to install the fronts to the back and vise versa. Adjustment **** for front is on bottom , for rear it is ontop of shocks.

Which PSS9 system do you have ??

The PSS9 with rear sway bar for the C4S from Carnewal...

I made the suggestion about checking the front and rear to the dealer... they'll be looking at it. Also also had tcdesignfab.com send me a set of their brearing to help eliminate any noise from the suspension. Should be here tomorrow. Hopefully the dealer can figuer out all of it...lol

Is the dealer Freddie Bakers?? They usually have very good techs who know how to build and tune cars. They were very good when they raced, ...... had a good crew.

Good luck.

No, Northland Audi Porsche (Cincinnati)

They don't seem to have any experience with the PSS9. I might need to take it somewher else afterwards for tuning
