So Cal shop that can install new rear LEDS?
Hi, Does anyone know a shop in Southern California that will install rear LED lights, that might require some custom wiring? I just purchased some rear LED taillights for my 02 996 Cab from HDC Autosports in Walnut, CA. They were the lowest priced 996 Led's on Ebay although I was able to go to their store today and pick them up. They look pretty good, and similar to pictures posted on many of the threads in this forum. Getting the old lights out was easy, but there wasn't an equivalent female receptacle in the new lights (not plug and play), so it looks like a custom job (or at least beyond me). If not, I will return as they do have a 30 day period. My buddy has a 997 and it was a simple plug (took 5 minutes), but this looks a bit more intensive.
Thank you
Thank you
O.K. Thank you. Hergesheimer installed my B&M short shifter so I'll give them a call Monday (closed today). While I'm there I know they can install a 5 hour free trial for Revo flash so I may give that a try.
Call Chris Sterling at (949)705-9416. He's been really good to a lot of his clients with installs and everything else. His prices are great as well. He did my LED's. I noticed that other people in this forum have used him too. He's reliable and does good work.
Thanks for the contact. I actually already set an appointment for this Friday with Hergesheimer. They couldn't quote me a price without bringing it in and and taking a look, which I guess makes sense. So, if they come in really high (I'm thinking anything over an hour or so for labor should be enough for a light install...not quite sure) then I'll try giving Chris a call. Actually, maybe I'll give him a buzz tomorrow and see if he would be in a position to give a quote, without actually seeing these particular LED's. Assuming this all works out I'll post some Pics. Somewhat unrelated, I guess Hergesheimer is dropping Revo since apparently they (Revo) aren't keeping up with the newer 997 fuel injected engines, and so they will start using Softronic. Still thinking of an ECU flash and maybe the plenum to complement the B&M short shift and exhaust (went with the After Hours Gen II which I like so far). Thanks again. I've found this board very useful to help pick out a lot of these mods.
