My 2003 996 4S will hit 96,000km very soon, I'm gonna change Main Serpentine Belt, but wondering should I change 3 additional parts at the same time?
They are Tensioning Roller, part no. 99710211700
Upper Deflection Pulley, part no. 99710211800
Lower Deflection Pulley, part no. 99710211900

Any input would be appreciated.

 

Optional in my opinion unless they have unusual noises coming from them or don't spin freely.

 

I wouldn't do anything but the belt if there are no issues with the other parts. If 10000 miles from now they need to be changed out, it takes literally 15 minutes to take the intake off and belt out and swap. I have a thread for the belt change DIY if you need more info.

 

DIY is pretty cool, I'll check it out and see if I can get tools for that.

Change the water pump. The plastic impeller degrades with time and can lead to dire consequences by bits of plastic clogging the cooling passages in the heads. 3 years is recommended time to change as per Flat6Innovations. Do a search. There's information about this.
