I have a 2002 996 cab. I need to remove the black plastic piece under the driver's seat in the front. I dont see any fasteners. Does it snap off? If so, What direction to I pull it?

 

If I remember correctly it does just snap off and is pulled forward to remove. I was uncomfortable the first time I needed to remove it though because it did not just come off easily.

 

There are two tabs that you can try to lift up underneath, otherwise they might break when you pull it off.

I did it on one without them breaking but the other one broke.

I don't think I put either one of them back on.

They are cheap if you need to replace them.
