speedtech h/f cats install question

Hello friends, My question is: Is it common for the need to cut off some material so that fitment of cat to muffler junction is done? The new cat's seem to overlap about 3cm on each side of the mufflers. The car has gemballa mufflers. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks Ted

I think my gemballa's have a longer pipe than the stockers. Anyway do you think my idea is o.k. to cut some material off so they will line up. Thanks Ted

If you can cut and weld, anything's possible.

Thanks for responding to my question guy's. I stopped work yesterday and went for a nice run. My next move is going to loosen the muffler mounts and see if I can get some wiggle room to jockey the cat pipes on. Thanks Ted
