iPhone Cdr23 solution

I have been searching for months and seen many options to hook up an iPod/iPhone to the Bose cdr23. After visiting with several installers and not wanting to do the Denision 500 or a complete custom job, I ended up with a Scosche cable that works pretty well.

The unit is the Scosche FMTD7. It does work over FM, but uses RBdS radio feature to push song titles to the unit. It also has a tune app that I downloaded that makes real easy to find a signal.

I don't know how the tune app is doing this, but when you find the right signal, it is retuning itself on the head unit. I think it has to do with the RBDS functions on the radio.

I can also stream Pandora and Sirius.

Not perfect, but for $79.00 and not wanting to rip anything out, it is working well.

I had thought of that option as well but my fm transmitter would always end up getting fuzzy or losing the signal for some reason. The dension is really nice and completely worth it. I barely even use the iPod anymore, I use the USB stick more. However, I am looking for a bluetooth transmitter unit I can attach via USB to the dension and then link to my iPhone.

Tmonk, where did you get this? I can only find a Scosche FM-MOD02 from Crutchfield. And do you still like it? Do you get any hissing sounds?
