One last Mod that I've been wanting to do..
 

I've been eyeing the nice LED tail lights for a while and findly found a nice set, bought these from a fellow board member. They were plug and play for my 99, it just took some time to figure out what plugs matched up to the correct positions on the new one..

Questions. When the taillights are on, is it the rear and side light that's on? Also, is the photo you posted with the light "on" the rear fog light?

The last pic is showing them when they are on, no rear fog light not on.

What kind of rear bumper is that? Almost looks completely smooth with no license plate or bumperette mounts showing? Very nice looking rear!

Thanks David, I bought it locally the owner bought it and didn't install it so I don't know the manufacture. Yes the rear was so clean I decided not to even put the rear plate on.

I've been trying to work this out in my mind and this is the first time I've seen the OEM and LED lights side-by-side. It seems to me that the smoked LEDs are closer to the OEM than the clear. Looks great! Thanks for the info and photos.

I personally think one of the ugliest parts of the 996 are the rear tail lights and that is incredible the difference just replacing them can do for the car.
