Does anyone know if the X54 tips will fit on the PSE?

DGray.....did I waste money buying the X54's on their own, and now that if I buy the PSE, I'll get them again, or does the PSE come without tips.

Also, did you install PSE yourself, or take it to a shop, and if the latter, what did they charge you.

For all you PSE guys, do you shut it off from time to time, or let it roar all the time?

 

I think if you do the update retroactively, it is on all the time. some people have wired them but i think this costs a lot more.

 

You didn't waste your money since the tips and exhaust are sold separately. My car came with the PSE ('02 MY) and there's not a cutout switch on the dash. I think those came on the '03's.

Since my car had the PSE I didn't do the install.

In case your not aware, there's an auto cutout function between approx 25mph and 45mph due to euro noise restriction laws. I didn't like the auto cutout (wanted full roar all the time) so I had my local P shop do a quick mod to eliminate the auto cutout.

I think he removed a vaccum hose or something (?)
