I am curious if anyone else is hearing the same thing. I have a 2004 996 coupe. Intermittently when I open the door there is a click,click,click... sound at a fast pace coming from around the radio / AC unit. I suspect it might be alarm related. It happens when I am entering when the door was unlocked and when the door was locked. It doesn't happen all the time. It always stops after about 10 clicks.

Anyone else hear this? Any thoughts on what it is?

my '04 c4s has the clicking sound and I think its coming from the climate control unit

 

I have the same clicking in my 03 C4S. Sounds like a relay or something behind the center dash console. Didn't think much of it.... because it stops. I read it's the CD player doing that, haven't had time to check it out by unplugging the radio to see if it still happens.
