Help in identifying this part

I believe its for a 997 gt3 but not sure, i have looked online and searched by the part numbers on it but not sure to which car it belongs to. it looks like a tranny but not sure for what model or porsche it is for. Please excuse my ignorance

You sure it's for a porsche? looks like it could be some type of powertrain? MPT maybe stands for magna or mahle power train?

Kind of looks like a 2-speed transfer case for a Cayenne / Touareg. The one module you pictured I think would be the stepper motor for it. This would bolt on to the back of the actual transmission.

Just a guess though!

Transfer case. Do a search on the part number to match up compatibility

Indeed its a transfer case. I started to do searches for transfer case and that is exactly what I found. Thanks guys for pitching in

Why would you think it was for a 997 GT3?
