Need Help, Bumper fitment?

Hey guys does anyone know if the MKII bumper will work on a MKI. One person thought it wouldn't work because of taillight differences, but when i look at buying taillights they all say they work for all 996 Carreras. Can someone help?

Depends, front or rear? For front the MkI headlights are the older "Boxster" style while the MkII are the updated "turbo" style headlights. The bumper cutout for the headlights is completely different. The rear never changed from MkI to MkII to my knowledge other than the bumper protectors being body colored on the MkII. There is a difference for wide body rear bumpers like Turbo and C4S models which only fit a narrow body with modifications.

My C4S doesn't have body colors bumperettes. It's a 2002.

I'm assuming op meant rear since he mentioned taillights. If you use mkII rear bumper on mkI car, you will need different exhaust tips as the lengths are different due to the opening being lower.

Thanks for the info guys, and I was talking about the rear, sorry. But I found a MKI bumper that was reasonably priced. There are definitely more MKII bumpers available however.
