no fuel no spark after rebuild please help

its a 99 996 , original had a big end failure , was completely rebuilt

now , no fuel no spark

check cas its good , or at least there is 2-3 volt on the pins when i crank

car had been of the road for about 1 year

i have read about immobilizer , is there a way to check if its that

key does not unlock the doors

does not have scan tool!

closest dealer is 100 miles away and he is the worste for screwing up peoples, like a 300 $ for an alignment that he did not even do , so i would like to avoid him

thanks in advance

thanks in advance

If you have not changed the immobilizer or DME and can crank then the Immobilizer and DME are talking and do not see that as an issue and FOB battery may need replacing regarding the locks. Check fuses to verify they are OK to start off with.

so just to be sure , if i can crank with the key in the ignition , its not an immobilizer issue
if it would have been , it would not crank either

this leaves me moderately happy , so its either the crank angle sensor , or its wiring
or a stupid relay or fuse , i can deal with that

is it possible that the crank angle sensor is bad even if it makes the 2-3 volts?

Did you install the engine yourself? Did you make sure you reconnected ALL ground wires in the engine bay?
