Something in the oil filter

Something in the oil filter

hi, today when i made a oil change , i always verify the oil filter tO see if any particles . For the first time i saw some green particles that i think are like small pices of rubber. The question if from were ?

The oil filter rubber sealing O-ring? It may have been improperly applied or just deteriorated over time. Good luck

If you still have them try contacting LNE to get an oil analysis, you can send them in as well. Like the previous post said, sounds like the o ring seal from the filter, take a look at it and see what it looks like.

Most likely what you found is excess silicone sealant used to seal the engine parts during assembly. What you found in the oil filter is the pieces small enough to get thru the oil pump pickup screen, the bigger pieces are still clogging the oilpump pickup screen so you need to remove the oil sump pan & clean the pickup since it restricts oil flow!
