Dash lights up like a Xmas tree after 1 hot lap?

I was at the track a few days ago and after a warm up heat and went hard on the second heat. On my 1st hot lap my brake wear lights come on(new pads installed that day!), then my battery regulator lights come on, to follow was PSM, air bag, CEL, ABS, Braking system failure light, then it goes into limp mode.

Appears the battery had died so i charged it with a trickle charger and the car drove fine however it appear the alternator isn't producing a charge as the volt meter is consistently dropping.

I did some research and it all points to a bad alternator. I was curious to know what could cause the alternator to fail so suddenly along with the brake sensor. Could i have shorted something?

I thought id ask the boards first since shops here are closed during the weekend so i would have to wait till tomorrow to have it checked for a faulty alternator.

Here are a few clips from that day if anyone wanna see some fly bys of a GT2RS and GT3RS

Altenators fail all the time, it's kind of a mystery, working fine then boom no good. I had this happen about a year ago on my truck, started fine, drove 2 blocks to the gas station, tried to restart...nothing! Sounds like you need a new on though because the charge should be steady.
