Swapping Gauge clusters

I have a question I hope that someone can answer - a while back I saw a post - of corse I don'e know where not that a P-car owner was cleaning the inside of his gauge cluster do to dirt. So this lead me to believe that I can also take mine apart.

So I have seen posts where Boxter owners upgrade their dash gauges to 911 gauges to get the extra oil and volt info.

But I just can find a definitive answer if they are the same for 2001 boxter (minus - the above gauges) and then I would be able to get the clear lens to fit my cracked speedo gauge. The boxter should be- but I don't know I';m adding some pics to illustrate my thinking
