Had any problems? Don't some models have an "s" button that you can push to change engine response and tighten up handling? I saw that on "top gear" i think it was an 05. I think dark grey or red would look best so you can see the front air intakes better.

The "sport mode" function is not available on the 996 C4S, which was produced from 2002 - 2005. The C4S has the same suspension as the turbo, which is essentially a sport suspension all the time. On the later models such as the 997, PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) is an option that lets you do this. There is an optional sport exhaust available on the 996 C4S, but all this really does is make the car louder when it is activated.

I have not had any significant problems with my car. I have had the usual maintenance and wear that you'd expect on a car with 115K miles on the odometer.

Thanks, great response, makes me feel a little better! Unlike the mercedes forum, they are often sarcastic and smart ***. I'll post a picture when i get one.

There are plenty of sarcastic smart asses here too... don't worry! I'm sometimes one of them!

In any case, my C4S is one of the best cars I've ever owned. If you're used to the maintenance costs for the Merc, then you'll do fine with a Porsche.
