What AFR with Supercharger?

Hi

Is there anyone that have a supercharger kit on a 996 C2 and have a AFR ratio meter and can tell me what AFR you are running at WOT/ high load? I see that my N/A engine is att AFR 13 at WOT/high load -can I run that lean att 6 PSI of boost?

I ONLY whant to know what AFR people running with the SC kit and not recommending AFR on boosted cars.

BR
Erik

Under high load/WOT im at 10.1
That's abit rich IMO but im only making 4.3 PSI on the VF-E charger.

Im going with a smaller pulley and gonna have it retune to run AFR of 11 at WOT with 6PSI

And he begins to customize... haha

I thought about smaller pulley as well but most people I knew that ended up messing about with all that didn't see much gains for all the trouble so I just stayed with the default setup that it came with. I figure that is the most tested configuration anyways.

As to the thread, I won't be able to get you that data until next year as my car will likely not be back on the road this year.

Cheers

I believe @ 13 WOT with the charger would be to lean.
That's when things start breaking. What kind of charger are you running?
I idle at 14-15.

^^
Aaron,

Hahaha I thought about not doing the pulley and went meth/water injection instead, which im testing/dynoing this sat, and after i figure out a 5V power source to tap in! lol.

BUT .... The Mod-Itch wont leave me alone !
I have to replace the leaking coolant tank, which revolves around having to REMOVE the charger and belts. So mite as well change to smaller pulley and looking for some lighter crank pulleys!

Im going to have a Vortech V2 charger with 3,33" pulley installed -still running N/A
So the VF engineering SC is tuned to 11 AFR? -dont sounds like a good tuned kit to me...
lower than 12 AFR cant get any hp -OR??

-it would be interesting to know what a stock 996 turbo is running at WOT

You may want to consider replacing your AOS while you have it all apart and your thermostat to the lower temp one from LNE. Also, could think about the water pump depending on your mileage.

Just some "while you're in there" maintenance. I did all that when I did my SC.

most supercharged cars are set for 11-12 max for safety at full boost. Generally at tip in you will be leaner. I would rather be a bit rich than lean, 10 is too rich and can foul plugs and give rise to fuel wash etc.
