Shipping a car

My wife and I are doing a one car Gumball in August of this year from Myrtle Beach to San Francisco. I want to ship my car (04c4S) back to Atlanta and go from there. I am loking for recommendations on trustworthy shipping companies. Also, is the Mirror install Radar detector a myth or reality? If reality, where in the SF Bay area to get this done?

Intercity is another recommended shipper that's a sponsor of this site. You should note that shipping a car can take days to weeks. An exact day of arrival is not possible which may impact your ability to get you car upon arrival.

There is a V1 mirror display for sale on eBay. It's basically a display unit built into the mirror. The detector is connected to the mirror display via wire. It's more integrated and discrete but I don't see the need.

I used InterCity Lines to ship my car from Boston to Virginia. Great rates and perfect service. And board sponsor too.
