Mk2 996 nb wheel offsets
Always had trouble playing with the wheel offset range. Could anyone lend me a hand? I want to know what the most aggressive offset I could run with 18 x 8.5 f and 18 x 11 r? And possibly the beefiest tires I could run without any rubbing? I've heard of people having 295s or even 305s on their rears.

You did not indicate your wheel size; 18"? Nonetheless, +/- 5mm of the OEM offset is optimal. Using 18", the optimum tire size should be 235/40/18 F + 275/35/18 R. These tire sizes should have nearly zero effect on your speedometer readings. Good luck.

Must have been on the merge of knocking out last night. I really meant to say 18 x 8.5s and 18 x 11s. Do you know the range I could play with, say 40-60? or like 45-65?

50 f 65 r

Does anyone know if I could run these wheels?
18x9 5x130 ET46 18x11 5x130 ET60 |
They will fit. However, the stance would be fairly aggressive. I don't know about you, but I like an aggressive stance. Your optimum tire combo would be 235/40/18 F + 305/30/18 R. Good luck.

Thanks a bunch ruben! The more aggressive the better, but I do want to stay away from the extreme camber and flush look. 305s fit? I thought that was 996 tt spec.

996tt specs are 315 on an 18x11 5x130 ET40. The ET40 allows for the WB specs. This is where the ET60 allows for the NB specs.

Porsche Sport Techno wheels for 996 narrow body are 8x18 50mm offset front and 11x18 63mm offset, so they will definitely fit with the recommended tire sizes for these wheels (225/40ZR18 and 295/30ZR18). Of course so will any other wheel with the same specs.

I have 18x8.5,+50 with 18mm spacers on the front and 18x10.5 +40 on 285/30/18 PS2 tires at the rear. I have PSS10 lower around 2.5' but I m running -2.5 camber at the rear. No rubbing issue at all with no cut or roll on rear quarter panels too.

Do you have C4s or Turbo? Otherwise, I'd have to call BS on the rears too. |

turbo wheels on my '99 NB (engine and trans are out, so the camber is off and wheel gap is massive).
Attachment 509298 Attachment 509299 WB wheel on right, it has a taller tire too (notice rake in car's stance): Attachment 509300 |

Mine is just a Carrera 2, Front tire size is 225/40/18 and Rear 285/30/18..... I thought is no way to be fit too, but it was just perfect come out to me.
Have you seen the poster above yours that had the shot of the Turbo Wheels? The stock Turbo wheels are 45mm for the rear so yours at supposed 40mm would stick out more. I just don't see that from the pics. |

Based on those pics, there is no way you're running 32mm offset front and 40mm offset rear.
