If you have the regular spoiler, I guess you need to buy two, since there's also a brake light mounted on the spoiler that is visible when the spoiler rises up. On a dark color like mine (lapis blue) I'd go with the smoked rather than the clear. What do you guys think?

The Pic everyone is waiting for...

Here is a pic of my clear third brake light. I love the way it lights up! I might give the smoked one a try, as it might have match a bit better with the color. Great mod!

Nice. It definately cleans up the back a bit. If I take the plunge, I'll probably get the smoked to match the rest of the rear lights. I have a brake light on my spoiler too....I guess I'm going to need that one too if I end up doing the other....

Lightbulb Wow

I would have gone with the smoked if I had a black car.

I'm curious. Can I get the clear and put yellow film on it? That way it will still light up red but yellow (body colored) when off?

Anyone know if this would fit a 996tt third brake light? Asked Gert already and he thinks so (not 100%), but I'd hate to order it if I am not absolutely sure.

The third brake light in OEM spoilers and Wings tend to be different parts than the one embedded in the car. I know for sure the Tequipment "Carrera" wing has a different style 3rd brake light that comes with it.

Gert, will it fit the 02 factory aero wing which is longer than stock?

The clear third brake light does not fit the Turbo or the Aerokit Carrera rear spoiler.

The brake light on the turbo (996.631.050.01) is a bit wider than the unit used on the normal 996 and GT3 (996.631.050.00).

If you ever find a clear third brake light for a 996 turbo let me know. I have always wanted to get rid of that red light against my arctic silver exterior.
