GT3 Body Kit

So i was involved in an accident with my 1999 C2 and I need a new front bumper cover. Obviously I was looking to upgrade to a GT3 front bumper. I got a quote back of $4k for just the front cover and the side skirt. To me that seems high but it is direct from a Porsche dealer.
Know of anywhere to pick up a quality kit reasonably?

That sounds a little high but not out of the ballpark, TechArt will run $4400 for the front bumber alone.

If I'm looking at that kind of price I'd rather save my money and step up to a Turbo in a few years.

We can get you the GT3 front bumper (hardware included), side skirts (hardware included) and the front spoiler lip (11 rivets needed to mount it). The total cost much cheaper then quoted. PM me for pricing details.

glad your taking my advice...
look on ebay (996 gt3 bumper) http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRP-99-01-Po...9b69fa&vxp=mtr

1936.00 (plus 175.00 shipping) for gt3 front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper skirts, and gt3 spoiler/wing. (i am not affiliated in any way)

make sure to get several body shop quotes and tell them that you plan to use the money from the factory bumper to purchase a gt3 bumper that you will provide. they may quote a higher price to earn your choice. also ask how much more they will paint the side skirts and spoiler for and tell them you are shopping around this way they may cut you a deal on the prep/paint for the other pieces.

Anything through the dealer is going to be way to high. I just installed a GT Street RS Body Kit. I recommend checking out www.precisionporsche.com, they have some great bumpers and body kits cheaper than most competitors.

I see that you're in Chicago. If you do any sorts of parallel parking, you might want to stay away from FRP and only get PolyUrethane based bumper IMO.

I've contemplated selling my full OEM GT3 mk1 kit but I always go back and forth on it...

I don't live in the city but I would agree that I will only go with polyurethane.

Make sure the paint shop adds in flex agent and proper adhesion promoter as well.
