2002 C2 Ride Height

Can some of you with 18" wheels and coilovers with lower ride profiles comment on what you have for ride height, ground up to fender lip font and rear? I am trying to get an idea of where to setup my car during setting the corner weights and aligning.

Thanks.

I run 2004 GT3 ride heights measured from the measuring points under the vehicle (128 mm rear and 118 mm front).

I started that way but found my lower lip to be scraping everywhere around here and had to raise it up a few mm.

Chillipepper - you may want to make sure you have an engine protection plate installed over your oil pan before experimenting with lower ride heights. Many have learned the hard way just how low too low can be. There are also boomerangs for under the chin spoiler that some have found necessary. For starters you will want to evaluate any abnormal hazards in your daily commute - extreme homemade curbing and speed bumps can be hard to negotiate - even on an angle. Everyone's daily route will be different and only you know your neighbourhood. ROW M030 ride height is about 10 to 20 mm lower, so about 1/2 inch from USA bumper height. It doesn't sound like much, but makes a big difference. Much lower than that and you'll need to become attentive.

Generally, the MK2 GT3 front bumper isn't as low as the MK1 GT3's so he might be ok running GT3 settings, however I do concur on the engine protection in the back.

I've recently got the OEM engine protection plate and really is not that robust IMO but something is better than nothing. And what the plate does is introduce a gradual curvature towards the front of engine pan as to provide a type of a "ramp" so objects can more gracefully slide under rather than hit the sharp 90 deg corner of the oil pan.

Mildest lowering would be to install a set of Euro stock springs. 10mm lower on front, and SAME in back. Improves the stance a bit that's all.
