LNE IMS retrofit at 95k worth it?

Double win.

I could not agree more, will help on re-sale as well. You'll be glad you did.

Not to start anything but...LN recommends 50k replacement right? So you switch to LN and put 50k miles on it and want to sell the car. Aren't we back to square one?
To answer the OP....only you will know the answer to that

I have an 01 c4 with 31k. How do i know whether i have single or dbl row? The car was mint unil hit during the holidays by a drunk. Minor damage. Clutch is strong, so prolly wont have an opportunity for a while, but am tempted to do it anyway.
I hate these damn threads! They keep reminded me of the "what if"!!!

2001 could be either single or double you won't know until you look or maybe there's a code associated with your VIN number that someone on here can help with. Check out the info on LNE's website.

2001's are in the gray area. We've seen both in a small sampling of 2001's.
Sadly -- I don't even think the VIN will help as I think I've read almost a random
smattering of single and doubles from 2001s.
Get an IMS guardian until your ready to do the clutch.

My 2000 is double row. No guarantee that all 2000's will be double row.

Thanks for the answer!
Should i go oem ims or the retrofit deal?
I believe LN says in their disclousure that there are no guaranties, but on the other hand they use better materials to build their bearings it almost makes it a no brainer, what u guys think?

Personally, I would be more confident going with the LN bearing. I don't believe there have been any failures with their double row kits...unless install was shotty. The original double rows are pretty sturdy as they are. The LN double row is more robust.

Thanks. Just what i thought,
Why did porsche changed to the single row if the double is more sturdy? Please excuse my ignorance.
