I'd rather not pay the 1K + for it on Pelican Parts and mine is terribly cracked. The wood sure is a huge pain but man does it look fancy. I just had mine detailed yesterday and it looks amazing.

 

Have you considered having the pieces wrapped in a wood-grain vinyl? You could have them clear-coat on top of the vinyl to give it the same luster if you wanted as well. Might be a less expensive and easier-to-care-for solution.
