private party, then porsche warranty?
SubscribeAnyone buy their car private party and then go get a warranty from Porsche?
I have been looking at a pretty good buy at the local dealer, and they're asking $2400 (24 mos. or 100k) on a 99 c2 that they have. They also told me that they could possibly give a warranty on a 99 if I brought it in, but it would not be worthwhile.
We didn't continue the conversation regarding me buying from a private person, but I wanted to know the reality of it. I wanted to give them a call, but they're already closed. I'll call them tomorrow---what do you guys know about the PCA (pca right?) warranty?

The dealership buys the car and sells it to you after the certified pre owned inspection. Then adds the price of the inspection on top of the price of the car. You pay for peace of mind, the buyer gets a check from the prosche dealer and all is well....a 3 party transaction. The dealer makes a sale, makes money on the warranty and their books look good.
