Cab Window Lowering Issue

Just want to see if any one has had the same experience with your window before...

Window failed to drop before the driver-side door closed today. The window glass hit and bounced off the side-frame of the convertible top.

Also of note, the window will only "move" in small increments when using the window raise/lower switch?? I unhooked the battery to see if it would reset anything and seemed to help for a day or two, but now its back. Any thoughts?

Found a similar issue (and posted) over on Renntech, but it was never resovled: Window Issue

Is this a 1 time problem or is this happening all the time? If it's a 1 time problem, it's probly bc you shut the door too quickly before the window can go up completely. It happens and just don't slam the door too much next time.

If it's doing it all the time, try holding/pressing on the window switch for 20-30 sec w the ignition in on position. This resets the window switches. If it still doesn't work, you may need a new window regulator or a microswitch in the door.

Thanks for the responses. It is actually happening quite frequently. I will try the suggestions tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

Tim, I just brought my '99 coupe into my dealer for the same problem....a lazy drivers side window. I would close the door and half the glass would be seated, half hanging out. The window lower switch was bad. To boot, a week before I brought it to the dealer, I would get a "crunching" noise, like there was sand in the door when I would raise and lower the window. They found a part in the power window motor was bad as well.
Thankfully I'm still under warranty so it was a minimal pay out, but have the dealer check it out for ya.
