Nice, congratulations! Where in MA? I am in Foxboro and just picked up an 03 C4S as well!

Did the C2S come with the wide body or only the C4S?

There isn't a C2S variant of the 996. The only wide-body cars in the 996 series are the C4S, turbo and GT2. The wide-body cars are 2.6" wider in the rear, and they are the same dimensions in the front.

The C2, C4, targa and GT3 are narrow-body cars.

aah, so what the OP is buying must just be a base C2 then? Looks like they have added the sport exhaust tips at some point.

It appears to be a C2. The exhaust tips pictured were optional from Porsche or they can be added to any car. I often see people refer to them as "X51 exhaust tips". I'm not sure if they were actually included as part of the X51 power kit or not.

The tips were part of a package offered by Porsche. It was the tips plus stainless door sills etc.

I looked up under and the tips are made by Eisenmann if that helps. May save some people here some money rather than ordering a Porsche part #.

I really got to drive it this weekend and I love it. Very happy with decision. Now upgrades

Are there any specific places to go to if I wanted to do say a tune, K&N and exhaust (Not Full).

I am always looking to add more power and I know with German cars it comes at a big expense and not big gains.

Thanks

Fisters exhaust, a local indy can do it. K&N, I used the original air box and put in a K&N free flow filter and really like it, more so than the full set-up. You can hear it sucking air!
The Fisters, PSE/Gundo hack is nice and tame below 3500 RPM's but after that, nice and aggressive but not too loud.

Thank you very much. I think I will just go with the drop in K&N too then add the exhaust. I will also do some research or talk to Porsche dealer to see if there is a place that can do a tune. I would imagine there is more HP/TQ to extract with a tune and still keeping it safe motor wise.

I'm having an EVOMS tune done to my 996 later this week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just noticed you are in Evergreen, CO. I used to live by the DTC and the ride up Red Rocks to Evergreen and beyond was my favorite Sunday route on my motorcycle. What is the name of the restaurant/diner just past Evergreen? They make a wicked good scramble! What a nice place to live, enjoy every moment of it

Thanks! We love Evergreen. I also love to drive through the canyon between Morrison and Evergreen, as well as some of the other great mountain roads around here.

I'm not sure which diner you mean. I imagine that you're talking about Country Road Cafe in Kittredge. It's pretty darn good!

Yes! that's it!

So many beautiful roads there. Summit to Mt. Evans, Pikes Peak, Coal Creek canyon, to name a few. I'd love to come back and live in CO!

Anyone have any suggestions for a Porsche shop in NH, N. Mass that I could work with on performance upgrades like chip/tune etc?

Thanks

Is there a link I can go to that has some or all DIY. I look around and not come across anything. I am looking for some simple inexperience mods I saw like hardware install for radar detector, clear side markers and there was some cheap airflow mod stuff.

Thanks
