Thumbs up New brake and shifter

Yesterday I spent the time to put in a new shifter and e brake handle. I did it myself with the directions I got on renntech. The directions were great, but it ended up taking two and a half hours instead of one and a half. I got the whole thing apart and together in 90 minutes or so but the the brake was rubbing on the plastic. So I tried to figue out a way to fix it without taking the whole thing apart again. I couldn't so I ended up taking it apart again and filing the plastic. So it took me longer, but it looks great in the end.
Not that hard and I love the way the shifter feels.

I'll post a pic later today. The side of the leather handbrake was rubbing that plastic guard on the side. It, and the plastic of the console itself had to be filed. The directions I had said to check for this, but there were no pics of it and I didn't realize where to check until it was already put together. Then I spent 40 minutes or so trying to correct the problem without taking it apart again, but I finally gave up and took the console off and filed it down.
