Exclamation Oil drips on driveway

I'm a new 996 owner 2001 C4, I see oil drips on the drive way, I thought only my BMC cars leaked like it a few drops after driving, the pre 60 English cars had no rear main seal, any idea on the 996

Check between the engine and transmission. If it's there, it's a IMS bearing, or rear main seal. Probably IMS, unless it has been changed.

not good news. rms or ims leaks should be fixed. it's about $1200 and you need a good shop to do it right using a special tool to line up the seal

Better to find a leaky IMS seal, than a broken IMS bearing. Not cheap, but not the end of the world. Be glad you caught it in time.
