I don't get it. WTF, would the pour that kind of money into a 2091 when for half that you can buy a 997? Also, so it's an RSR I can smoke in a stock 911?

It's a beautiful car. If you like it and aren't worried about resale, then buy it.

If it's worth $37K to you and you want it, then you should buy it. You seem to understand the issues and you are comfortable with the fact that you won't get your money out of it when you sell it.

Never a fan of non OEM badging. Why the RSR badge if it's truly not an RSR? Just my opinion, but not feeling the rims or the bodywork.

At the end of the day, you're buying the car for your pleasure. You're going to enjoy ogling at it in your garage. You're going to have fun while at the wheel. Unless they're a Porsche-nut, noone is going to notice that its a 996 that has been greatly modified, or that its even based on a wrecked car.

Bottomline: If you know what you're getting into (resale, maintenance etc etc), then go for it.

If you were looking for a streetable RSR clone, that seems like a pretty good deal. Parts and labor easily exceed $37K. GL.

The car is absolutely beautiful and the work seems impeccable. But to spend all that money and then have to tell people it's not a real RSR just seems foolish. You'll be wishing it was the real thing the entire time you have it. Just my opinion.

I honestly think you will regret spending all that money, when it's not the "real" thing...
