Rear bumpstop question?

What is the difference between the std bumpstop and the eurosport one. I've read the artice from pananorama, but in practical terms.

I think suncoast forgot to send me the new rear bumpstops and my ROW030 is installed with the standard ones. I'm going to call suncoast and complain, but I don't want to have to pay to have them to be removed/installed/alignment if it's no big deal to leave the stock ones in.

Can someone concur, that it just may make the rear suspension a bit harder since it will hit and start compressing the bumpstop earlier and at a different point of the shock's spring compression when it reaches it's extreme.

Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind... Called Suncoast and it looks like the 01 and earlier have different bumpstops in the rear. the 02 and newer don't so thats why they were not in the kit.

So no complaints here, Rick@suncoast was very helpful looking it up this morning and I'm happy again

So I did a bit more research....

I took out my 2003 PET CD...

Turns out the confusion, much of which caused by the Panorama article on suspensions uses a mix of pre 01 cars and 02 GT3/GT2. None of which applies to the 02 and newer C2's since they have many differerent components

So by looking at the part numbers the 01 and earlier have a different rear bumpstop for the 030 which is also used on the X74 C2 and 030/X73 C4s.

While you can put the 996.333.105.03 rear bumpstop on an 02 with 030 it isn't really needed. Further research reveals it's a good idea though on "spring only" lowered cars so you do hit the bump stop too early since it's a bit shorter than the standard 02+ bumpstop.
