Manual spoiler deployment on 2002 C4?

I have not yet taken delivery on my 2002 C4 Cab, but have a question about whether the 2002's have a manual deployment button for the rear spoiler. I did not check this out, and you can't see it when you are driving. Any tips appreciated.

Hi,
Theres a switch at the foot well where the fuse box is, I fitted an aftermarket switch to dash and it flashes as the spoiler goes up, Pretty straight forward to fit.

Are you referring to the DIY mod you have to do to get a switch on the dash which involves wiring/soldering? Or is there a 'plug and play' dash switch?

Hi,
You have o run the wires yourself but don't need soldering, 1 to the footwell which is plug and play and then you remove the clock set and 4 little wires go into the plugs, Sounds difficult but its not once you get into it. Much better and now I know when my spoiler is up/down or on the move.
Thanks

Any info on where to get this aftermarket kit for spoiler deployment? Does it add a light to the dash cluster, or use an existing light?

There's not an aftermarket kit for spoiler deployment. The rear spoiler deploys automatically at 120 kilometers per hour (74.56 mph) and retracts automatically at 50 kilometers per hour (31.06 mph). This is a standard feature - you don't need a kit.

You can manually raise the spoiler using the button by the fuse box in the driver's side footwell if you have the need to manually raise it. I haven't seen a need to do this, other than track duty perhaps.

Go to the Rentech site there is an excellent write up in the DIY 996 mod section. I did it ( isn't to difficult) but some soldering is advisable. Good luck
