Say Goodbye Amber Climate Control

After a few test, I finally have a replacement LED for the stock LEDs in the Climate Control Unit.

Soldering is required.

Heres the first pic:

Notice the - and + signs are still amber to show the difference in brightness and color.

The company Im working with can produce super white and blue(as shown).

Of course that is not the stock stereo, its a Sony. :}

I should have a some instructions together and the blue LEDs in by next week.

There will be 25 LEDs per kit.

You only need 23, but Im including 2 extra in case you smoke one when soldering. Unlikely to happen but you dont want to have your climate control apart and be stuck with some amber LEDs, because you smoked one.

You'll need:
15 watt soldering iron
Long Tweasers
LEAD FREE Silver/Tin solder (available at most Radio Shacks)
A Steady Hand and Good Eyes

Price set at $49.95 + $4.95 Shipping

Right around $2 a LED.

I might set something up where the non soldering type can send in there Climate Control and I mod it and send it back for a fee.

I use to install the Afterburner Light for GBA and never ran into problems with people sending and receiving there shipments.

Will this change the lights on the rest of the dash also- namely the buttons and the dials?
