I thought single row bearing are more susceptible? Pardon my ignorance

From my extensive research (long story) - for the 996's, I can give the following stats using information from the lawsuit, websites, and forums

99 - double row (failure 1% or less) - this was mine, how lucky am I?

00 - some double and some single

01-05 - single row - with failure rates up to 8%

06+ - no firm data

And as a follow up for replacement bearing options (as long as the old IMS did not start to fail) - here is what I found

1 - pelican bearing - no long term data - change every 30-50K miles

2 - LN double row ceramic (for the 99's)- 0% failure - change every 30-50K miles

3 - LN single row ceramic (for the 00-05's) - <1% failure - change every 30-50K miles

4 - Casper ceramic bearing - no long term data - and can't find them anymore on line

5 - eternal fix - the roller bearing one - no long term data

6 - direct oil feed from tuner RS - can be added to any bearing - no long term data

7 - solution - no long term data - can be done on 00-05's
