I drove a 996 as a daily driver for 3 years. I wouldn't recommend it. You get used to the car and it becomes less special. Also, it's a pain to drive in traffic. If you want a daily driver, a 997 pdk is the best. But think about the depreciation/maintenance per mile. Is it really worth it? I would get a 996 mk2 as a weekend car.
