Thanks for all the input everyone. I found a couple of cars that I am trying to get for a good cost. Seems like a C4S or another Aero Coupe are in the cards. I really liked the upgraded interior of the 997 the most but I a carrera 997 is very plain. I liked the E550 coupe almost more! Yikes

C4S is nice...but it's hard to ignore the allure of a 997. To quote my wife, "Hmmm...if your 911 was this nice, I'd wanna ride in it all the time."
(when we cruised around in a friend's 997 for the weekend). Nothing wrong w/ a C4S though ;-)

Yes, We get compliments all the time on our 04 C4S Cab, and I never tell people what year it is. When they guess it's an 09 or something, I just reply " Wow, you know your Porsches" and just drive off lol. It a great car and a looker!

i have a 2002 C4S now- and had a 2005 997S, both are great cars, depends on options, what you want to spend...the 997 is more refined and comfortable, the C4s with those big hips looks beautiful & with a few mods looks very modern!

The 996 C4S/TT is 72.047" wide at the rear hips while the 997S is measured in at 71.181". Barely an inch difference. The reflector is the key, that makes that 1" soooo important.

X2. It really surprises how they got the handling dialed in with the Boss even with the live rear axle. But then again American car manufacturers are known to make older technology work sometimes(pushrod LS...). Enjoy

My vote would be the 996 4S. Best looking 996 on the road. A little bias but that's my opinion. Good luck.
