I was on Pelican Parts and noticed the above mentioned lowering springs, has anyone heard of these? I have not, they are German made and I was wondering how they compare to H&R or Eibach?

 

I have direct experience on a BMW when they first hit US shores. Nothing wrong with them but for a car like this, I'd rather go with the big guns that's been in the biz for awhile where you know their rep, manufacturing facilities, qa process, certifications, tightly controlled resources, etc.

 

Oh, I agree, I was just wondering about them because I'd never heard of the name.

 

This may not apply to the 996 specifically but on the Bimmer, they wedged in between the Eibach Pro-kit and the H&R sports in terms of stiffness. Are you gonna take one for the team?

 

Maybe, were the Eibach's stiffer than the H&R? What I want to do is lower the C4S about an inch, for looks, so I'm having a hard time justifying the costs of coilovers.


Since I don't track or DE springs and sway bars seemed like the logical choice.

 

Eibach Pro kits are generally softer than the H&R Sports. Eibach Race springs otoh, are stiffer.

Just make sure they have the tuv rating. It's been awhile since I had mine so forgot if they do or not.

Also get the newest Eibach sways if you're leaning towards them as its been redesigned this past year.

 

since all similar in price go with H&R or eibach. I have a c4 and had to go with h&R...eibach doesn't make em for that
