I might be interested in going friday. I have a midterm on sunday though, so... Have you gone to this event before and was it good/worthwhile???

This is the usual "International Auto Show" event that takes place every year - basically a "new" car show for manufacturers...nothing crazy. The Autoshow Underground thing is aftermarket and takes place in the same venue, single admission. You can read up on it at the links I posted previously.
