New C4S Pictures
My wife took these whilst I was picking up my car at the dealer this weekend. I will take more when I've had chance to give her a clean and the sun is out, but for now here she is...
The spec is as follows...
2003 996 C4S
Basalt black
Black full leather interior
Sunroof
Bose
CD-changer
Soft ruffled leather
Porsche crests in headrests
After waiting 20 months for delivery, it's like being in love all over again!

Thanks.
Yes, waiting lists in the UK have always been long (i.e. over 6 months for a Boxster, 12 months for a 911, and 18+ months for a Turbo/GT2), unless...
- You are VERY famous
- You are VERY, VERY rich
- You buy an awful lot of cars from the same dealer (and by that I mean more than one a year, or so)
For the first two, Porsche GB have a special allocation that they can draw from in order to make things happen for VIPs. For the last one, you really need to build a relationship with a dealer, and spend a lot of money with them.
For a C4S I know that people have waited from 12 months to 20 months for their car. Even now, with the economy doing it's worst for a while, a friend was quoted 12-14 months at best.
It's mainly down to UK allocation, which is poor. The upside is that residuals are perhaps a bit higher than the US. But it's still a pain having to wait so long...
Cheers,
Gary D.

How much were they asking for the tractor in the first photo?
I can hear my dealer now.... "You want to trade what for a 911?"

I thought the tractor would provide a good backdrop!
My dealer is in the 'lake district', in the north of England, and as a result it is a bit (well actually very) 'rural'. Tractors and other exotic machines are not uncommon...
BTW, it wasn't a Porsche tractor, but I am told that Porsche did once make tractors too... so you might just want to tell the dealer that you have another porker to trade in
