I am selling my 2001 C4 with a 3.6L X51 motor with Fabspeed headers and exhaust (new Porsche crate motor 32k miles ago. not a reman).It has the factory GT3 Aero kit. It has 121,000 miles with 32,000 miles on the motor.
It has a few quirks... the gas gage only works to half way (I just use the trip reset) and cruse control does not work. All maintenance is current new PS2 Tires, new starter( Porsche under warranty)

What is a fair price?

It is a hot rod and I want it to go to some one who appreciates it.

I haven't seen '01 3.6L X51 setup yet so if you really have that setup with the Variocam Plus, your example will be truly unique and set it apart from 99% of the other cars. And if this is the case, you should be able to get a premium for it assuming everything checks out and is in good condition besides the items you mentioned. I would estimate $25k+ if the body and other bits are in good condition and you have all the paperwork.

Please post a pic of your motor as I would like to believe your claim.

 

4 posts, not enough info, and an X51 claim which is unheard of as far as i know on a 996 except maybe the 2004 anniversary models...

i'd say its worth $8000

 

It's a 996 that has gone over 100,000 miles. Even if it had a jet engine in it. It sells no more than $15000. Cold facts.
