Disappointed with service at Porsche Dealership. Wheels is toast
So i have a problem that i would like to get all your inputs on .
I have recently had my car serviced at a Porsche dealership in Winnipeg, Canada .
I had my winter tires changed to my summer tires, oil changed, changed the drive belt and had few wires fixed in my 2003 Porsche 911 C4 with only 25 k Km on the clock.
I picked up the car from dealership ( from the lot) after two days of having the car at the shop and 1400 of repair fees ( 700 of which was labor) .
At the time of pick up the garage was already closed and when i drove the car , before even taking it off the lot, i have noticed that the car is not feeling right. I got out of the vehicle and inspected and looked around but i couldn't notice anything major.
I drove the car off the lot and within the first 1.5 km i have noticed that my L rear tire is completely flat. I called the dealership and decided to drive the car back to the shop to get fixed.
By the time i got back to the shop ( at this point have driven less than 3 k) my tire was completely off of the rim and i actually drove on the rim for unknown period of time. I wish I took a picture to show you. it was pretty dramatic.
The car was dropped at the shop and i was given a loaner car.
I just received a call from the shop and they are trying to low ball me and make me pay for their screw up. they are saying that they dont know what happen and they might not get my tire changed free of charge.
The tires were changed 2 years ago at a dealership in NY and i still have the receipts for that. Also I was told that my rim is bent but they are trying to tell me that those bents were there before. the manager at the garage is claiming that they test drove the car after they fixed everything and there was nothing wrong with the car.
I am extremely disappointed with this situation. stuff like this doesn't even happen at a KIA dealership. I would assume if you paid 1400 for your car to get serviced , you would expect everything to be fine.
I don't know what to do if they try to get me to pay for the tire. what is your advice? should i take this up to Porsche Canada? I also think i deserve to have the fees that i paid for the change of wheels reimbursed to me .
I mean i could have gotten to a huge car accident if i went on a major road. I am really disappointed with the dealership. whatever happened to Porsche?
any suggestions are appreciated .

Wow...This is just a bad situation. Unfortunately I get the feeling you're going to be stuck "holding the bag" so to speak. There are a couple of lessons in there somewhere.
#1 - Never take a car off a lot without inspecting it in the presence of a dealership employee (preferably a manager or someone with authority) and noting anything that doesn't look or feel "right"
#2 - "before even taking it off the lot, i have noticed that the car is not feeling right" And you still took it? Obviously, that was your first mistake - everything else could have been avoided if you trusted your "feeling"
#3 - Don't drive a car with a flat tire- especially one with very expensive wheels...
#4 - If you drive a car with a flat tire and ruin the tire (that might have been able to be fixed) and the wheel, don't expect the dealer or Porsche NA to pay for it...
Sorry dude, but everything that happened after you took the car off the lot is YOUR FAULT. You drove the car, and nobody forced you to. Now you want to blame the damage that you caused on someone else?

Agree......you should never have driven it off the lot and inspected it first. Never pick up a car after hours or when the shop is closed. Even in a Kia....never drive on a flat. Sorry, but this Bud's on you.
