Clock spring question - Changing from 4 spoke wheel to 3 spoke

I am upgrading my steering wheel from the four spoke to the three spoke wheel. I purchase a used wheel and airbag online, but was wondering if the clock springs were the same so I could use my old one, or do I need to order one specifically for the three spoke wheel. Also, are there any installation tips when swapping out the steering wheels? Thanks!

Clock-spring? I changed out my wheel (4 spoke to 3) and honestly, all it entails is the two screws that hold the airbag module (from behind - I think they're T-25's if IIRC - try to get a long torx wrench or socket for these) and the main nut. Be sure that your front wheels are straight before installing the wheel. The splines on the hub are pretty fine so if you don't get them spot on, your wheel will be crooked - it took me a few tries before I got mine straight. Be sure to disconnect your battery before messing with the airbag connection or you could wind up with an airbag light... Good Luck

well if you pull too hard...the clock spring will pop out and make a mess...and you'll be spending time trying to reinstall the clock spring. No need to touch the clock spring.
