Does my car have Auto Dim or Heated Side Mirrors?
I was looking to upgrade my mirror glass to Aspheric and wondered if I had heated mirrors or Auto Dim? My car is a 2002 911 C2 with minimal options.
Is there anyway to tell? I'm doubtful that I have either but wanted to check.
Thanks!

you can get your VIN decoded. It'll tell you what option is in your car.
Suncoast do VIN check but they charge you $10.

I'm sure there are other places that check the VIN for free but it just tell you the basic.

Thanks! I think I might just pry off one of the mirror glasses and see if it has a wiring plug/harness. If not, I'll conclude it is neither heated nor self-dimming.
I think the local Porsche dealer might even give me a print out if I give them my VIN.

I know this will sound silly, but do they dim when you turn on your headlights at night? It's pretty obvious on my 997. If I turn on the lights while the car is parked in the garage, then I can see the mirrors dim. There's an outline around the edge of the mirror that doesn't dim, so you can clearly see where it does.
No not silly at all. When I posted it I was at my desk and wanted to get a quick answer so I could pull the trigger on ordering. Was hoping the answer would be "No 2002s of US Spec had them or all did"
That said I will confirm as you mentioned or just pop off the glass to see if there is a connector. My gut feel is they are not because the car is pretty well bare bones. (shameful for what that original MSRP is)
