Carbon Fiber wheel cracking. Anyone else experience this?

The top carbon piece of my steering wheel is developing small cracks all along the top edge(facing windshield). So far none of these cracks have flaked off, but they feel as if they could. Has anyone else had this happen? If so, did it get any worse? Is there a fix short of replacing a very expensive wheel? If not, has Porsche stepped up at all on any out of warranty cars that have had this problem? Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pat

Good Luck to you if you are out of your warranty period. Porsche will take care of it while they are still under but out...... never.

Very important to keep those CF parts out of the sun.

Cracked CF Wheel

When I purchased my 02 Carrera Cab earlier this year. The steering wheel was cracked. I called Porsche to order me one before I brought it in for warranty. They replaced it with NO questions.

Yes my car is under Certified Porsche warranty.

I was quite impressed. I think the steering wheel is $1100 in CF.

Pretty common problem with CF steering wheels. I've seen dealerships sell cracked ones on ebay.
