996 wheel and camber plate question

I have a 99 C2 996 and am wondering what is the max tires one can put on the stock 18 inch turbo wheels (factory is 225 front and 265 rear)....Also, if I buy new wheels what is the max 18 inch tires and wheels I can fit on the car? Ideally I would like to put a 235 or 245 up front and a 295 or bigger in the rear, but I don't want to hear a bunch of rubbing and scrucbng. Note - I will be running michelin pilot sport cups for the tire and the car will be lowered 30 mm front and 20mm rear. I have no aerodynamic kit on the car and would be willing ot have fenders rolled if need be.

Also, has anyone tried to retrofit the GT-3 front camber plates to a 996?

Thanks in advance.

my guy from michelin just sent me a free set of ps2's and says 235 fronts and 295 rears are ideal for our 996...but there is wiggle room if you want to go up to a wider back.
They're sitting in my mailroom till i get my wheels.
NYC winters are brutal so im waiting till next year to put them on!!!

I am going to go with the 235 front and 295 rear combo, based on the folks I spoke with this setup will work with small to no problems. Now the trick is finding the right set of 18x8.5 and 18 x11 wheels.

We have done a 315 rear but it scrubs the rear control arm bit if the suspension unloads. Stick with 295.
