Machine shop in Nor Cal

Hi all. Newbie here 2001 996 3.4 with a dreaded timing chain failure and resultant snapped exhaust valves in cyl 1 and 3 and cracked #3 cylinder. Can anybody point me to a machine shop in NorCal that can do the cylinder sleeving and cylinder head rebuild? IMS was not the culprit this time. Looks like a failed timing chain block wedged into the sprocket. Much appreciated.

I'd highly recommend Morgan's Machine shop in Walnut Creek

Thanks. Now is there a recommendation for a source of 3.4 piston set?

Here's the problem. IMS needs replacing but not the fault this time.

Pieces of plastic everywhere!

US chrome can redo the cylinders for you if they are bad, and piston skirts as well!!

I used Elby's in Dublin for Pontiac head work.

Many years ago there was an Elgin's Machine Shop in Redwood City which had expert capabilities on air-cooled flat sixes. Anyone know what became of them?
Also, an expert formerly with Garretson's in Mountain View is Jerry Woods. He has his own business now in Campbell, and definitely worth calling (408-359-9607). Back in "the day" he was the best.

Rods are cleaned and balanced. Crank with new bearings. IMS with new bearing and pinned. Just waiting for pistons.
