Personally I own a 996 Normally Aspirated MY03.
I paid a premium price for what others were going for, bad investment? Maybe in some eyes, but FUN = DOLLARS, nothing else better!!
With that said,
A)Autocross events and spirited street fun, there has yet to be an air cooled Porsche normally aspirated car that can even compare to performance.
B) Are you kidding me, horsepower to weight ratio??? Where does an air cooled Porsche come close, again NA
C) Go back a few years, when the late 1980s air cooled cars went from the terrible shifting 4 speed to the G5, I don't recall 4 speed bashed like the IMS.

even if the article is not right, like NYoutftr I don't care. I have so much fun in my '00 C2. and I still get plenty of thumbs up while driving it!
