I bought a correct keyhead from ebay for my car thinking that I would just get the metal key replaced, have the dealer reprogram it and be set. Now I am reading that I need a 16 digit bar code to make it work. Is ths correct? If so, can I just place the metal key in the head and use it by insering it into the door? Will the only part that does not work be the remote feature? Any help would be appreciated.
